Consumers ALWAYS Cause the Shift…

As an American healthcare consumer, ultimately you are the driver of the Mind-Body-Spirit paradigm shift. Our competitive, free-market economy - including in hospitals, clinics, nursing facilities, and healthcare insurance - is definitely responsive to your wants and needs. All entities - operating in their own specific way - in the healthcare system want YOUR business.

You might think that this encourages greed and even fraud within healthcare and I would agree. That’s the downside. However, there is an upside. Since they want your business, you are in the driver’s seat!

So … if you want something different, like a holistic approach to healing, than start asking for it…start talking about it…start expecting it. In my last BLOG, I shared my commitment to this shift. Honestly, that won’t be enough. All of us - as consumers - are responsible to cause this shift. Just like we “shop around” for other goods and services, we must also start being more selective and assertive in our healthcare consumerism.

Let me be clear —- you are in the power position.
